Abstract [eng] This study investigated the relationship between working shifts (day and non-day shifts) and the variables of healthy lifestyle, psychological well-being and burnout in healthcare professionals working in Lithuania. The sample consisted of 137 participants, mainly general nurses, and medical doctors. This study found no significant differences in perceived burnout between workers working different shifts. This suggests that the type of work shift in this sample may not predict work-related burnout. However, differences in the use of health protective factors were found, with day-only workers using these factors more frequently than non-day-only workers. Also, health protective factors were found to be significant predictors of work-related burnout. This suggests that integrating health-protective factors into the daily routine may reduce perceived burnout. Keywords: shift work, healthy lifestyles, psychological well-being, burnout, healthcare specialists.
