Abstract [eng] Title: Indicators of Myocardial Deformation in Paediatric Speckle Tracking Heart Ultrasound Background: Methods: This systematic review was performed using PubMed database, articles on subject published from January 31, 2018 to January 31, 2023. A total of 4 publications were included in the review based on inclusion and criteria, which were: children and adolescents, full text publications, publications in English language, publications about two dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography, studies not including congenital heart diseases, publications about myocardial damage). Quality of selected studies was assessed with NOS tool. Results: 4005 articles were found in the initial search, 4 were finally selected. 2 studies were case-control, the other 2 were retrospective cohort studies. In the studies described in the analysis, global radial, global circumferential, and global longitudinal strain were significantly reduced between the groups compared in the studies. Regional radial and circumferential stain were significantly reduced in the studies of Arunamata A. and Yubbu P. In Sabatin J.'s study, regional longitudinal and circumferential strain were significantly reduced in the base and middle segments. In the study by Arunamata A. and co-authors, it was found that the global radial (11.9±12.3% compared to 21.3±18.2%, p=0.003), circumferential (-11.7± 7.5% vs. -21.2±6.3%, p<0.0001) and longitudinal strain (-8.1±5.1% vs. -13.4±5.1%, p<0 ,0001) significantly decreased compared to subjects with LVEF ≥50%, while Yubbu P. and co-authors found a significant decrease in global longitudinal tension measured in the 4-camera image only in subjects with LVEF <50%. On 2-chamber view, longitudinal strain was decreased in all patients, but more so with LVEF <50%. Conclusions: It can be stated that circumferential strain, global radial strain and global longitudinal strain were the most sensitive indicators of two-dimensional dot marking myocardial deformation and were most correlated with myocardial damage in left ventricular noncompact myocardium cardiomyopathy. Global radial, circumferential, and longitudinal strain are significantly reduced with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (<50%). Key words: Myocardial deformation indicators, two-dimensional dot echocardiography, heart muscle diseases.
