There is a scarcity of the research defining concept of core competences of psychodynamic psychotherapists. Core psychotherapists competences articulate fundamental aspects of competencies and embrace crucial professional knowledge and foundational attitude and skills dimensions. This research aims to reveal subjective concept of core competences of psychodynamic psychotherapists and its aspects. There were 6 research participants – psychodynamic psychotherapists. Research data collected by semi-structured interviews and analyzed using reflective thematic analysis method. Data analysis revealed five topics, depicting compounds of subjective core competencies. Subjective concept of core competencies shall be perceived not through the lens of separate component but rather as a consonant of integrated and one another compensating entire, relying on the personality of therapist, client ant therapeutical context. |
