Abstract [eng] The relationships between employees’ proactive behavior types, work resources, self-leadership and work performance Brigita Čereškevičiūtė. Vilnius, Vilnius university, 2023, 79 p. In the economic and dynamic social business environment, employees’ proactive behavior is a significant factor in the organizations' adaptation and development. Although proactive behavior has been studied for several decades, this construct was considered as a complex phenomenon, so the authors analyzed this construct in separate behavior forms. Researchers Parker and Collins (2010) proposed the division of proactive behavior into three higher category types, for better this behavior understanding, leading to respective levels of functioning in the organization. This study examined the relationship between employees' proactive behavior, work resources, self-leadership, and work performance. This study included 259 participants, most of them were female, university-educated and specialists from the private business sector, working in non-management positions. Regression analysis revealed that work resources and self-leadership predicted employees' proactive behavior. Results showed that self-leadership is important for the relationship between work resources, proactive behavior, and its types - employees with higher self-leadership were characterized by higher overall proactive behavior, proactive work behavior, and proactive person–environment fit behavior. Also, it was found that greater work resources are associated with higher in-role and extra-role performance through proactive behavior and its types.
