Abstract [eng] In today's world, finding a balance between work and life is becoming an actual challenge for many. Work-life balance is affected by various external and internal factors, so it becomes relevant to analyse which of them can lead to a better work-life balance. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationships between work-life balance, individual work-life balance crafting strategies, and work and home demands and resources. The study surveyed 275 working adults. In this research Job Requirements and Resources questionnaire (Bakker, 2014), Home Demand Scale (Peeters et. Al, 2005), Home Resources Scale (Lazauskaitė-Zabielskė and Urbanavičiūtė, 2018), Work-nonwork Balance Scale (Wayne et al., 2021) and Work-nonwork Balance crafting scale (Kersieck et al., 2022) were used. The results of the study revealed that work-life balance crafting is positively related to the work-life balance dimensions - involvement, effectiveness and emotional balance. Also significant relationships between work and home emotional demands, autonomy, opportunities for improvement and support at home, and work-life balance were found. The results indicate that applying proactive actions to craft a work-life balance reduces the importance of autonomy at home for engagement balance, the importance of autonomy at home and family support for emotional balance, and the importance of workload and job pace for efficiency balance increases.
