Abstract [eng] |
The aim of research work: to evaluate the effect of strength and endurance exercises on the health indicators of menopausal and postmenopausal women: body composition, cardiovascular system function and osteoporosis by analyzing scientific articles. Tasks of work: 1. To review the effects of strength training interventions on body composition, cardiovascular function, and osteoporosis in menopausal and postmenopausal women. 2. To review the effects of endurance training interventions on body composition, cardiovascular function, and osteoporosis in menopausal and postmenopausal women. 3. To review the effects of combined strength and endurance training interventions on body composition, cardiovascular function, and osteoporosis in menopausal and postmenopausal women. Material and methods: A systematic review was performed based on the results of the search in the PubMed (MEDLINE) and Web of Science databases, a systematic literature review of literature sources that met the criteria was performed. Results: A systematic literature review included 16 research studies involving 796 menopausal and postmenopausal women. The duration of the strength and endurance training interventions ranged from 8 years to 12 months. The frequency of interventions ranged from one to six times per week. One training session lasted from 20 minutes to 90 minutes. This systematic review of the literature focuses on the existing knowledge about the effects of strength and endurance interventions on health indicators in menopausal and postmenopausal women: body composition, cardiovascular function, osteoporosis. Conclusions: 1. Strength training interventions showed statistically significant effects on health indicators of menopausal and postmenopausal women: body composition, cardiovascular function, and osteoporosis. 2. Endurance interventions showed statistically significant effects on health indicators of menopausal and postmenopausal women: body composition, cardiovascular system function, but were not effective on osteoporosis indicators. 3. Combined strength and endurance interventions have shown statistically significant effects on health indicators in menopausal and postmenopausal women: body composition, cardiovascular function, and osteoporosis. |
