Abstract [eng] This thesis analyses metaphors used in the legal economic communications that were issued from 2019 to 2022 during the economic and political crisis that started due to Covid-19 crisis, the war in Ukraine and supply chain disruptions. The aim of the thesis is to identify metaphors in legal communications on economic issues and to investigate how metaphors are translated. The data was analysed by collecting LEGAL target domain keywords from the constructed corpus using AntConc tool (Anthony 2019) and applying Metaphor Identification Procedure created by Pragglejaz group (2007). The analysis shows that the most frequently used LEGAL target domain keywords are conceptualized as PERSON, OBJECT, LANDSCAPE, PROXIMITY, and CONSTRUCTION in both the source text and the target text translation. The overall conceptualization suggests that source domains maintained in ST and TT highlight the importance of translators work when transparent and clear transfer of legal economic matters in different languages is needed.
