Abstract [eng] |
The aim of the Master's thesis is to identify the success factors necessary for digital transformation and to determine the impact of these factors on the implementation of digital transformation in Lithuanian health sector organisations of different digital maturity. Research methods used: analysis of scientific literature - scientific literature was analysed in order to form a conceptual theoretical research model on success factors and their influence on the implementation of digital transformation in the health sector. In the empirical study, semi-structured interviews were used to collect data. For the qualitative data analysis a content analysis method was used and the data were analysed and interpreted. The Master's thesis consists of 3 parts: the first part reveals the phenomenon of digital transformation, the second part identifies the key success factors for the implementation of digital transformation in the health sector by combining the generic factors and the factors determining the implementation of digital transformation in health sector organisations and by complementing them with the solutions to the digital transformation challenges. The third part provides information on the methodology and design of the qualitative explanatory study and presents the results. The main results of the study are: - For the first time in Lithuania a set of key success factors in the health sector has been developed, which will be important for the development of digitalisation strategies in organisations, to identify and address gaps, to make appropriate decisions and to ensure the quality of digital transformation in Lithuanian health sector organisations. - Models of success factors influencing digital transformation in low, medium and high digital maturity organisations have been developed, highlighting the actions that should be taken by organisations at different levels of digital maturity. - It has been identified that the digital maturity of an organisation determines which success factors have the greatest impact on digital transformation. For an organisation taking its first steps towards digitalisation, human factors, leadership, will have a greater impact on the digital transformation process than for a digitally mature organisation with a digitally oriented culture and mindset already in place, applying Agile methodology. A digitally mature organisation is more influenced by actions to ensure quality, structured data, innovation and new technologies. |
