Abstract [eng] The main purpose of this master thesis is to determine the relationship between economic and noneconomic health indicators, and to determine what has the greatest influence on health indicators in EU countries. The work consists of three main parts; the analysis of literature, the research and its results, conclusion and recommendations. Literature analysis reviews the economic and non-economic factors of health, and analyzes the topic of health inequalities both in a general sense and the situation in EU countries. After analyzing the literature, the author conducted a study on the interaction of economic and non-economic health factors. To perform the analysis, statistics were collected, indicators were calculated, correlational and regression analyzes were performed in order to find out the relationship between economic and non-economic indicators of health, such as income, employment level, poverty risk level, education, mortality and morbidity rates, life expectancy, etc. The correlation coefficients show a strong negative correlation coefficient, which means that as income levels increase, mortality rates within countries decrease. The conclusions and ecommendations summarize the main concepts of literature analysis as well as the results of the performed research. The author believes that the results of the study could give useful guidelines for further social policy.
