Abstract [eng] The main purpose of this master thesis is to determine the influence of material motivation and psychological empowerment on the improvement of corporate governance. The work consists of three main parts: the analysis of scientific literature, the research methodology and the results of the research. The thesis is concluded with conclusions and recommendations. Literature analysis reviews the concept of business process, the essential features of their management and benefits. Furthermore, it presents the motivation and psychological empowerment concept, impact and benefits in business process management. It is important to mention that in this research psychological empowerment consisted of two factors empowering leadership and structural empowerment. The research methodology was prepared based on the literature analysis and results of previous studies. Thus, the questionnaire was created to assess material motivation, psychological empowerment (empowering leadership and structural empowerment) impact on organization performance improvement. The research was limited to the respondents who are 30 years old or younger. In total 96 answers were collected from the respondents. The results of the research were statistically processed with the SPSS programme. Moreover, the results of the research were compared the similar studies. The presented statements were evaluated on a 5-point Likert scale. The Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient was used to measure the internal consistency of the constructs. In all cases, it was higher than 0.7. The performed research revealed that material motivation and empowering leadership has a significant positive impact on structural empowerment. Furthermore, structural empowerment positively affected employee creativity, productivity, initiative, organizational commitment and job satisfaction. However, structural empowerment was not correlated with the competence of the employee. The conclusions and recommendations summarize the main concepts of literature analysis as well as the results of the performed research. The results from this study can be used in any organization to improve employee engagement and performance.
