Abstract [eng] SUMMARY 74 pages, 13 charts, 2 pictures, 44 references The main goal of this master’s thesis is to determine the relationship between the applied motivation strategies, employee motivation, and the results of their activities in organizations. The thesis consists of three main parts, which include: analysis and discussion of the literature review, methodology and the analysis of the research on the relationship between motivation strategies, employee motivation and performance in organizations; conclusions and suggestions. Analysis of the literature review revealed that the application of motivation strategies is highly important for both – organizations and their employees. Organizations benefit when employees are motivated, strive for the best results, and their productivity is extremely high. Meanwhile, for the employees, the motivational strategies used by employers bring not only financial but also internal, emotional gain as well. By feeling motivated both internally and externally, the employee can pursue their personal goals, feel useful and worthwhile. After reviewing the literature, research methodology is introduced. Research instruments, qualifications of the respondents and individual Cronbach's alpha index of each of the constructs are revealed. The total indicator of all constructs corresponded to 0.738 > 0.7, therefore the data is confirmed to be reliable and can be rightfully applied to all working-age people in Lithuania. Based on the already conducted research, a questionnaire of 40 questions was also developed. A total of 331 participants contributed to the study, but 12 respondents were excluded because they were unemployed at the time of the study. Analysis of the results of the research conducted during this thesis reveals the evaluations of statistically significant data by gender, length of working service and age. Linear regression analysis was performed and the correlations between motivation strategies and employee motivation; between employee motivation and performance; and between motivation strategies and performance are compared. Finally, it is concluded that there is a relationship between all of the above mentioned correlations, and the hypotheses of the study that were raised in the beginning of the thesis are confirmed. Thus, based on the obtained results, it can be stated that the application of motivation strategies affects the performance of employees together with the employee motivation.
