FACTORS INFLUENCING THE DEVELOPMENT OF BANKING SERVICES IN MOBILE APPLICATIONS SUMMARY 6 9 pages, 35 charts, 11 pictures, 41 references. The main purpose of this master thesis is to determine external factors influencing users actual use of the mobile banking applications in Lithuania and prepare expanded technology acceptance model to be used as a future base for similar type of research. The works consists of two main parts: analysis of literature and sources and quantitative research together with conclusions and suggestions, recommendations. First part includes literature analysis of electronic banking, technology acceptance model, comparison, and review of current mobile banking services in Lithuania. During this part theoretical expanded technology model was prepared. After the literature analysis the author conducted a survey of mobile banking application users in Lithuania. 219 respondents answered the survey. Information collected was used for the study to find out the influential factors. Based on previously developed expanded technology acceptance model each link between factors was converted to the hypothesis. The results of the research were statistically processed with the SPSS program and hypothesis were examined. The study revealed that not all of the purposed external factors have influence to actual use of mobile banking apps and model suggested should be modified. Final version of expanded technology acceptance model was presented. The conclusions and suggestions summarize that technology acceptance model is a valid tool for influencing factors analysis in banking services area and might be used by banks for mobile applications development strategies. Social, psychological, technological, marketing, and other factors has actual influence on use of mobile banking applications. With further development expanded technology acceptance model prepared during this study might also be used by other companies and private individuals. |
