Siauliai Academy. Siauliai, 55 p. (58 p.). Relevance of knowledge management tools when managing organization change is analyzed in Master’s final work. The goal of Master‘s thesis is to determine the appropriate knowledge management tools for change management according to K. Lewin 's model. To achieve this goal, the following objectives are formulated: 1. Define the essence of change and its management in the organization. 2. To analyze organization change management according to K. Lewin's model. 3. Define success factors and barriers when managing organization change. 4. To reveal knowledge management tool relevance of change management. 5. Evaluate the application of knowledge management tools when managing change at the Šeduva Culture and Crafts Center. The object of the thesis is organization change management applying knowledge management tools. The methods of the thesis are systematic analysis of scientific literature, comparison and generalization, documents content analysis, focus group discussion, semi-structured interview with the organization managers. Master's thesis consists of introduction, theoretical, methodological and empirical parts, conclusion and recommendation. 76 literature sources used for the thesis of which 45 are foreign language. Includes 3 attachments. The theoretical part reveals the concept of organization change management, organizational and strategic changes are distinguished, the stages of change management are analyzed. Also the stages of change management according to K. Lewin's model are analyzed. The theoretical part highlights the success factors also the obstacles that affects organization change management. When analyzing the importance of knowledge in the organization, knowledge management processes are presented as well as change management according to K. Lewin's and a model that reflects the interfaces of knowledge management tools. The methodological part of the thesis presents empirical research methodology: methodological research provisions, research strategy and justification of choice of research instruments. The aim of the empirical research is to evaluate knowledge management tool relevance of change management at Šeduva Culture and Crafts Center. Qualitative research methods were chosen to achieve the aim. In the section, the field, characteristics and ethics of the research are presented. The empirical part of the thesis presents the results of qualitative research data analysis. This section presents the results of documents content analysis, focus group discussion, semi-structured interview with the organization managers. The research determined that Šeduva Culture and Crafts Center staff, when working in a team and often communication with each other, creates an atmosphere favorable to change management. Such an environment encourages employee collaboration and knowledge sharing within the organization. The integration of knowledge management in the organization and the application of knowledge management tools help to manage changes more effectively. At the end of the thesis, conclusions and recommendations on how to promote knowledge sharing in the organization, to help manage change more successfully. It is suggested to organize trainings, informal meetings, share success stories, as this would encourage employees to communicate, share and acquire knowledge. |
