Abstract [eng] 62 pages, 5 figures, 13 tables, 144 references. The aim of the Master‘s thesis: to determine adaptation of Lean practices in manufacturing sector companies after switching from on-site work to remonte work. The following research methods were used in this paper: to reache the aim of the Masters thesis a semi-structured interview (qualitative method) was used. The questionaire was used to collect data from Lithuanian manufacturing companies, which have a Lean system. Collected data was analysed by thematic analysis. Structure of the thesis: the first part of the work– literature analysis about Lean conception and Lean practices. Also about on-site work and remote work features. In the secod part – empirical research method and methodology information, also research results and the model. Third part of the work – conclusions and proposals. The main results of the research: parts of analyzed Lean practices were adapted for remote work, but not all. Lean practices which need teamwork or deeper communication, were not successfully adapted for remote work, without advanced preparation (Kaizen, A3 plan integrated together with PDCA). After suddenly switching from on-site work to remote work Asaichi, which helps companies assure daily communication, was used more and adapted well to remote work. Kaizen practices that were digitalized before the switch to remote work did not need additional adaptations. On the other hand, Kaizen practices that were not digitalized before were abandoned after switching to remote work. Digitalized practices like OEE or Kanban did not need special adaptation to remote work. Therefore, digitalization of Lean practices could help avoid difficulties that arise from volatile external factors.
