Abstract [eng] Imaging of histological H&E stained sections in clinical field is usually performed with optical brightfield or confocal microscope. However, nonlinear optical microscopy provides additional information for clinical imaging of tissues, cells and their components. Focus of this work is collagen, which is one of the main components of extracellular matrix and is known to be affected by tumor growth. Studying collagens structural alterations may provide additional information about its potential growth and metastatic potential. Since fibrillar collagen gas a non-centrosymmetric structure, it can be visualized by second-harmonic generation (SHG) microscopy and polarimetric SHG microscopy to obtain quantitative information about materials structure and organisation. The aim of this work is to use scanning optical nonlinear microscopy for imaging of endometrial tissues and determining the parameters that allow separation of healthy tissue from cancerous one. As well as to determine whether this type of tissue is promising candidate for further developement of cancer diagnostic tools.
