Abstract [eng] This quantitative study, using quasi-experimental, re-measurement method, aimed to investigate the effects of mindfulness interventions on health behaviors, mindfulness trait and to study the relationships between these variables. The study included 49 women, almost all of whom had higher education, age ranging from 23 to 68 years. Subjects (n = 24) participated in 6-week online mindfulness training (MBCT), the control group had no intervention (n = 25). A non-random sample was used. After individuals interested in training registered a demografically equivalent control group was formed. Questionnaires were used to measure participants' mindfulness trait (FFMQ) and health behaviors (SCLBI) in the beginning of the research, 6 weeks after (post-intervention) and again two months later. Data from 46 subjects was used in the statistical analysis for long-term effects. The results of this study showed that higher score in mindfulness predicts better health behaviors, and that this trait works as a mediator explaining the positive effects of mindfulness training on health behaviors.
