Abstract [eng] Study aim: to describe fecal microbiota transplantation methods, indications, fecal preparation and complications of this procedure. Study methodology: in Pubmed data base was entered key words fecal microbiota transplantation and analyzed studies in English. Study results:various studies present different data about fecal microbiota transplantation method effectiveness. Fecal microbiota transplantation through the upper digestive tract is equaly effective as throught the lower digestive tract. Fecal preparation for fecal microbiota transplantation is not clear, so this topic is discussed. Fecal microbiota transplantation effectivenes for recurent and refractory Clostridioides difficile infection is 85%, and others studies shows 90% for adults, and 81% for children. For other indications there is not enough high quality and value studies. Mild side effects of fecal microbiota transplantatiosn was described in studies for children and adults. Conclusions: fecal microtiota transplantation methods are equaly effective. The main indication of fecal microbiota transplantation is reccurent and refractory Clostridioides difficile infection for both adults and children. Other fecal microbiota tranplantation applying areas are less investigated and are experimental treatment. Fecal microbiota transplantation is safe procedure.
