Interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) are a heterogeneous group of diseases characterised by a broad spectrum of fibrotic and inflammatory lung diseases. The high degree of heterogeneity often leads to confusion in disease classification and terminology. The aim of this literature review is to provide a structured introduction for radiologists or pulmonologists on current guidelines for the radiological diagnosis of ILD. A review of the radiological features and diagnostic algorithms of ILD was performed, described and complemented by radiological images and graphs in the context of the recent literature. |
