Abstract [eng] Occupational burnout is a pressing problem in modern society that is, influenced by individual and organizational factors. Teachers are one of the most vulnerable professions. Occupational burnout is a person’s reaction to long-term interpersonal and emotional stress. Burnout is a multidimensional phenomenon with three dimensions: emotional exhaustion; depersonalization; personal accomplishment. The object of the research is the interrelationships between professional burnout of teachers and the leadership style at school. The research aims to analyze the interrelationships between burning of teachers and leadership styles in Šiauliai city schools. Tasks: 1) To analyze the scientific literature to reveal the concept of leadership style and the expression of professional burnout in the teacher's professional activity; 2) To evaluate the dominant leadership styles in educational institutions in Šiauliai; 3) To identify trends in teachers' burnout at school; 4) To identify the links between the dominant leadership style in the school and the professional burnout of teachers. Research methodology: analysis of scientific sources; questionnaire using closed-ended questionnaires. Flood et al. Were used to identify leadership styles. (2000) Leadership Style Questionnaire. In the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), descriptive and statistical analyses were used to relevant to teachers' burnout. The study involved 130 teachers working in Šiauliai. Quantitative research was conducted through an online survey. The main findings of the study: 1. More than half of the surveyed teachers experience emotional exhaustion, a third - of depersonalization 4.6% of respondents experience a decrease in personal achievement. Female respondents experience emotional exhaustion more often than men. 2. Heads of general education schools usually apply a transformative leadership style, less often - a condescending one. Male executives are more likely than female executives to adopt a condescending leadership style, and female executives are more likely than male executives to adopt a transformative leadership style. 3. It revealed there is a positive relationship between teachers 'burnout and authoritarian and condescending leadership styles and a negative link between teachers' burnout and transformational leadership in school. The transactional style of school leadership and the professional burnout of teachers are not related.
