In addition, the first part of the work analyzes the results of previous research. The research was divided into two stages: the first aims to find out what are the necessary stages of ERP implementation and what are the main difficulties encountered during them. The second stage of the research aims to develop a model for the implementation of enterprise resource planning systems. In order to carry out the research, the interview method was used, when the aim was to gather information based on expert opinion in order to reveal the researched problem. The third part of the work presents the results of the study. The main problems and challenges in implementing business management systems in Lithuanian companies are revealed. The study identified 15 main problems that can be divided into personnel, project management, internal organizational and technical issues and challenges.
