Abstract [eng] 3D printer is a device that converts physical images (drawings). Main components: housing, engines, the 3 coordinate axes (x, y, z), the control unit and the print head (the plastic extruder) with the heating element [7]. The aim of the work is to compare the design of a 3D printer assembled in home conditions with six other industrially manufactured printers. In the work, according to the set goals, the following tasks are solved: to review the constructions of various 3D printers; using the solidworks design system, create a sample model for printing that complies with the ISO standard; Print samples of different parameters with a 3D printer assembled at home; to carry out tests and to carry out an analysis of the results obtained. The work examined the designs of 3D printers, their peculiarities. The samples are printed with a 3D printer using different filler parameters: Octet, Zig Zag, Triangles. Tensile tests have shown that the mechanical strength of printed elemets depends not only on the filling structure, but also on the filling density.
