In order to increase a good image of the company against the clients, keep it competitive and uphold the most important customers - the quality of production must be ensured. To achieve this, the company must monitor non-conforming products, the cause of their occurrence and improve manufacturing processes and Quality Management System. Considering this, this master’s thesis describes evaluation of risk reduction actions for non-conforming product in a metal processing company. In company X analysis of non-conforming products was performed: quality indicators of the company analysed, scrap rate, repair costs and losses of each individual work centre evaluated. Data gained from those analysis allows to determine which work centers experience most losses related to deviations and non-confirming goods. Causes of these deviations, engineering solutions as well as production optimisations are evaluated in order to decrease non-confirming goods rate in production. In order to decrease that rate this thesis focuses on solutions like A3 methodology, OOBEYA process as well as PFMEA process. Strength simulations were performed to check and ensure that offered solutions do not have a negative impact on product strength or durability. This thesis also analyzes benefits of automated robot welding and its impact on the quality and value of products. |
