The aim of the final thesis is to analyse the organization’s culture formation in banks (by Šiauliai city “Swedbank” JSC model). The theoretical aspects of organization’s culture and its formation explored by various Lithuanian and foreign authors are analysed in the work. Qualitative research (N=78) is carried out. The organization’s culture was investigated at the following three levels: observed culture (artifacts), espoused values and congruence. After the interviews with the managers and the employees of the organization, the hypothesis, which has been brought forward at the beginning of the work, that the formation of the culture in Šiauliai city “Swedbank” JSC is grounded on the strong basis of values on which the organization creates a long-term value and is able to survive in today’s competitive environment, was partially confirmed. The research has revealed that Šiauliai city “Swedbank” JSC consciously shapes organization’s culture, however it lacks sufficient focus on its development. |
