Abstract [eng] By seeking to be active participant in the global market without information technologies would be impossible to implement the innovative business decisions. Market conditions in growing economy and competition, business globalization as well as innovations in the field of information and communication technologies the companies stimulate to invest in development of the electronic business increasingly. Electronic business – is a use of modern means of information and communication technologies in order to create new business relations and their development as well as for increasing effectiveness of business processes, bypassing any geographical and time restrictions. Growing demand for goods and services of enterprises practicing electronic business, growing competition between companies developing electronic business demands efficient electronic business solutions. Consequently company in order to develop its activity profitably it is essential to select adecvate business strategies and actions. The aim of the research work – on the results of the theoretical analysis of the critical success factors and survey conducted to the critical success factors in the electronic business to identify critical success factors in the Lithuania electronic business market. Tasks of the research work: to analyse the conception of the critical success factors; to classify critical success factors; to analyse the significance of critical success factors in the determination of competitive advantages; to present identification methods of critical success factors; to study conceptual foundations of electronic business; to study critical success factors in the electronic business; to fulfil empirical research of critical success factors in electronic business companies. The method of the research work – comparative analysis and synthesis of the scientific literatures and quantitative analysis of the survey. The results of the research work. A number of literatures of the foreign and Lithuanian authors related to critical success factors have been analised, in particular conception of the critical success factors, possible ways of classification as well as the critical success factors in the electronic business. In the first part of the research work presented the conception of the critical success factors, their classifications, described definition of the critical success factors and different types of this critical success factors. In the second part of the research work described the critical success factors in the context of long time competitive advantages. In the third part of the research work presented the study of conceptual foundations of electronic business and critical success factors in electronic business. In the fourthly part of the research work presented the Lithuanian electronic business situation, survey and analysis of the results of the survey. The critical success factors in the Lithuania electronic business market have been determined by the survey. The results of the investigation of Lithuania electronic business market are described in the conclusion of the research work.
