Abstract [eng] |
Effects of Structural Changes in Trade and Production of Central and Eastern European Countries Due to Eurointegration The work consists of introduction, two parts of literature analysis, methodology, research, conclusions, references and annexes. The first part of this work is a literature review of research on the topics of trade theory, foreign trade impact on the economy, the relationship between exports and GDP and its importance to economic growth. The second part consists of a literature review dealing with the topics of EU membership, integration and various changes in member state economies related to it as well as convergence between EU member states. The methodology part gives information on the sources of the data used as well as background information on it, explains the way econometric attributes of the variables are measured and how ELG-GLE hypothesis testing is done. It also gives detail on how Ender-Granger TAR and M-TAR as well as ADL models were made; how export market shares, REER deflated by cost and price variables and a decomposition of trade in goods by competitiveness groups can be used for measuring competitiveness. The research part analyses the relationship between exports of goods to EU and the rest of the world in relation to the EU accession. The conclusion part summarizes research results. This master thesis has a significant theoretical and practical application, since the results can be used to explain rapid economic growth in CEE countries, measure the impact of exports on economic growth and help with the making of dedicated models for forecasting and estimation. |
