Abstract [eng] |
The subject of the final work. Aduls healthy lifestyle characteristics. Relevance and novelty of the study. In order to feel fully well, it is important to follow the principles of a healthy lifestyle, since human health is determined by four main factors: heredity (20%), environment (physical and social) (20%), human lifestyle (50%), level of medical assistance and availability (10%). Healthy lifestyle has the greatest impact on human health. According to dobrovolskij (2014), a healthy lifestyle is defined as, physical capacity which is set through daily habits that support, sustain and strengthen health: daily physical activity, adherence to sleep, nutrition, work and rest regime, non-consumption of alcoholic beverages, drugs, tobacco , etc. The study is based on the following problematic questions: Do adults follow the basic principles of a healthy lifestyle? How do respondents from different adult age groups follow the characteristics of a healthy lifestyle? Hypothesis. It is likely that the assessment of a healthy lifestyle of a person belonging to the Lithuanian young adult age group in terms of their nutrition, physical activity, harmful habits and rest is more favorable than those from a middle or older age category. The aim of the study: is to reveal the features of healthy lifestyles in adults. A survey was conducted, to 452 adults (18-65 years). Survey questions included basic principles of a healthy lifestyle, such as: healthy eating, physical activities, non-consumption of alcohol and tobacco, sleep regime. Research methods. Theoretical - analysis of scientific literature, online survey and its analysis; Empirical - anonymous written survey; Statistical - descriptive statistics. SPSS 17 software, Windows MS Excel, and Windows MS Word were used graphically to process, organize, and graphically retrieve the research data obtained. Survey results: Respondents recognise that the basic principles of healthy lifestyle related to nutrition and physical activity are sluggish and have room for improvement. The majority of adults aged 36 and over do not engage in physical activity, whereas those who do spend only 15-30 minutes a day on physical activity. Therefore, in all adult age groups the majority of respondents assess their physical condition as normal. Many distinguish the desire to reduce their body weight, but such an aspiration is unrealistic due to the improper daily eating regimen (eats 3-4 times a day, when it is advisable to eat at least 5 times). When assessing the distribution of respondents according to harmful habits, it should be noted that less than a fifth of those who participated in survey smoke. Smoking is most popular among the youngest age group i.e. respondents aged 18-25. When assessing sleep compliance, it can be said that it is good enough, since it meets the recommendations of specialists, when most of the adults sleep at least 6-7 hours and go to bed before midnight , as specialists advise.
