The main purpose of this master thesis is based on the analyzed scientific literature and the performed quantitative research, to find out the implementation of the safety management system and to determine the impact of employee involvement on the effectiveness of the OSH system and risk management. The following research methods were used in the work: comparative analysis and synthesis, interpretation, and systematization. A questionnaire was also created on the website www.apklausa.lt and the SPSS (Statistical Package For Social Sciences) program was used for the analysis and interpretation of the obtained data. The literature analysis review reveals that OHS in micro and small enterprises is often poorly managed. Also, an effective OSH management system is highly dependent on leadership, commitment, and participation at all levels of the organization and its oversight and implementation. The implementation of the OSH management system requires the implementation of structures and processes that ensure the safe organization of work and involve all managers, employees of the company in the implementation and oblige them to comply with the established rules and legal requirements. An authorial empirical study was conducted to determine the impact of employee involvement on the effectiveness of an OSH system that includes Covid-19 risk management. A questionnaire was distributed to employees in the business sector to help identify the effectiveness of the OSH system in the organization. Based on the data obtained it was found that there is a strong relationship between employee involvement and the effectiveness of the OSH system and between the effectiveness of the OSH system and the risk management of Covid-19. From this, it can be concluded that employee involvement is the most important factor in the OSH system. |
