Abstract [eng] |
Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) is one of the most study plant nowadays, due to its extraordinary therapeutic effects on human health. Cannabinoids are specific Cannabis sativa L. compounds which are responsible for it‘s therapeutical impact. There are two cannabinoids which are mainly found in hemp and plays the major role in Cannabis pharmacological effects – Cannabidiol (CBD) and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). However, there are strict laws in Europe which are not allowed to cultivate some Cannabis species and produce hemp products which contains higher than 0,2 % THC. For this reason it is crucial to have a sensitive and reliable method for cannabinoids identification and quantification in Cannabis sativa L. products. The aim of this work was to validate a method created and optimized in laboratory based on high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for eight cannabinoids identification and quantification in Cannabis sativa L. products. To achieve this goal, the best storage conditions for Cannabis samples were selected, method was validated according to laboratories held parameters – all obtained results were within the specified acceptance criteria. Validated HPLC method was applied practically for cannabinoids identification and quantification in six different hemp products and received results were compared to the amounts specified by manufaturers. |
