Abstract [eng] The aim of the Master’s thesis – after analyzied lithuanian organic dairy products delivered by long and short supply shains, determined how satisfied consumers expectations for organic dairy production depending on supply chain type. The objectives which have been set and implemented to achieve the aim: 1. After analyzing scientific literature describe peculiarities of processing and supply of organic milk production in Lithuania to the final consumer. 2. Identify consumer expectations for organic milk production through a qualitative study and develop a questionnaire for quantitative research. 3. To quantify, through a quantitative survey, how long and short supply chains are managing consumers' expectations of organic milk production. 4. After anlysing scientific literature and qualitative and quantitative research determine which and how much are met consumers’ expectations in the long and short supply chains of organic milk production. Master thesis consists of introduction, three chapters, conclusions and suggestions, theses in Lithuanian and foreign languages, references. A qualitative study (focus group) allowed to set targeted consumer expectations and to form a questionnaire for quantitative research. MS Excel and IBM SPSS software with the required plug-ins were used to process the results of the quantitative research. Literature analysis has found that consumers' basic expectations of food production are the same: quality, price and shelf life. It was also found that supply chains are not very popular in Lithuania for the supply of organic milk production and their further development is possible. Main findings of the study. Expectations for organic milk production quality are more satisfactory with short supply chains, while price and shelf life expectations are highly satisfied with long supply chains. Analyzing the influence of supply chain type on the satisfaction of consumer expectations, the length of the supply chain influences the quality and price, but the shelf life is not dependent on the length of the supply chain, so it can be concluded that.
