Financial Evaluation of Emigration Impact Upon the Economy of Lithuania The main purpose of this master thesis is to analyse theoretical presumptions of the emigration impact upon the economy and to accomplish financial evaluation of emigration impact upon the economy of Lithuania. Master thesis consists of four main parts: literature review, methods, results, conclusions and recommendations. Literature review analyses the phenomenon of emigration, it‘s definition and types. Author identifies reasons and consequences of emigration looking from the economic perspective. Author of the master thesis has prepared methodology for the research of emigration impact upon the economy of Lithuania. A research of emigration impact upon the economy of Lithuania was carried out. Results of this research have shown that increase of emigrants by 1000 results in the decrease of country’s GDP. The growth of emigrants by 1000 determines the increase of GDP per capita (-122 euros). With the increase of number of emigrants, consumption, employment, revenue from taxes, CPI, FDI, export and import decreases, while unemployment rate increases. Conclusions and recommendations summarize the main concepts of literature review as well as results of empirical research. |
