Abstract [eng] Criminological Analysis of Crime Prevention Programs in Lithuania In this master's thesis, crime prevention programs in Lithuania are analyzed, based on the assumptions of theories of criminology schools. The paper analyzes 61 crime prevention programs based on different periods and types in Lithuania, according to the singled out topics – the assumptions of theories of criminology schools. It was discovered that crime prevention programs in Lithuania most often reveal more positivist assumptions of the criminology school, which are re-education and reintegration of the deviant, re-education of the society and concerns to a person's social environment conditions as well as the elucidation of criminal causes and preconditions for them in order to emerge eliminative ideas, which are usually characterized as social, human trafficking and prostitution, corruption and organized crime and drug prevention programs. Moreover, crime prevention programs in Lithuania reveal assumptions of classical criminology school inevitability of punishment, clarity and simplicity of laws, rules and regulations for law enforcement officers, which are the characteristics of the corruption, organized and economic crime, and also social prevention programs. It was revealed that human trafficking and prostitution prevention programs usually reveal the assumption of modern criminology school concern and support to the victim. Crime prevention programs in Lithuania also reveal critical ideas of criminology schools to resolve the conflict between the offender and the victim without the intervention of law enforcement, and conflict theories emphasize social inequality as a criminal assumption idea. It was discovered that some programs are based on one assumption of a criminology school, while other programs comprehensively rely on several assumptions of criminology schools theorys. Crime prevetion programs are an expression of the power of govertment to influence the behavior of others, whereas the measures are targeted at perpetrators, adjustment of public behavior, change, implementation of certain principles of conduct.
