Abstract [eng] The Construction of Meaning in the Play "Lokis" This paperwork examines Lithuanian National Drama Theatre play „Lokis“ (dir. Łukasz Twarkowski, playwrite by Anka Herbut). Theoretical investigation assumptions are based on meaning perception formulation by Algirdas Julius Greimas. The objective of this paperwork is to determine how is meaning expressed and formulated in the play „Lokis“ in which multiple expression registers such as scenography, sound and light are used. The mechanism of meaning formulation in the play „Lokis“ is complicated due to several forms of communication operating through the timeline including text, media (image), music (sound, rythm), lights. The aims is to describe how verbal and non verbal interaction of discourses form the expectations of viewers, what meaningful effects are created and how they affect the viewers existencial attitude. This work raises the question whether stable meanings exist in performative play or not.
