Adjustment Disorder Symptoms and Risk Factors Five-Years after Cardiac Surgery Adjustment disorder research is becoming more and more relevant in the context of the updates in International Classification of Diseases 11-th edition (ICD-11). However, there is a lack of studies in clinical samples of ICD-11 adjustment disorder. Results showed that majority of participants have experienced other stressful events following heart surgery. The prevalence of adjustment disorder in this sample was 6.5%. Adjustment difficulties were significantly associated with accumulative recent life stressors, also specific stressors, such as, financial difficulties, family conflicts and death of a loved one. |
