Abstract [eng] Pauliuščenkaitė, R. (2019). Coping Strategies and Factors Associated with Help-Seeking Behaviour for Intimate Partner Violence in Women. Master's thesis. Vilnius: Vilnius University, p. 54. Women experiencing intimate partner violence may use a variety of help-seeking resources and coping strategies. So it is important to analyze the coping strategies and help-seeking behaviour in women with a history of IPV. Data were evaluated from 100 women (mean age 40,27, SD = 11,3) exposed to IPV. Instruments used in the study: „Barriers to Seeking Psychological Help Scale“ (Topkaya, Şahin, & Meydan, 2017) and „BriefCOPE“ questionnaire (Carver, 1997). Results show that most common coping strategies were active coping and acceptance. It is also found that most common berriers to psychological help-seeking were fear of being stigmatized by society and difficulties in self-disclosure.
