Abstract [eng] The Links Between Structural Empowerment, Support in the Organization, Employee Work Engagement and Burnout: the Role of Psychological Empowerment, Kristina Luebcke, Vilnius, Vilniaus universitetas, 2019, 55 pages. There’s a lack of information in literature, about the links between psychological and structural empowerment, support in the organization, employee work engagement and burnout at work. Thus, the aim of this study was to determinate, what role does psychological empowerment play by linking structural empowerment, support in the organization, work engagement and burnout at work. The sample consisted of 252 (176 females and 76 males, N = 252) currently working in various organizations in Lithuania participants in age between 18 to 72. All the participants of research filled survey which consisted of: Conditions of Work Effectiveness Questionnaire – II, Survey of Psychological Empowerment Scale, Perceived Organizational / Supervisor / Coworker Support, Work Engagement Scale and Burnout Scale. Results of the study revealed that psychological empowerment, by meaning (dimension of psychological empowerment), is a complete mediator between perceived organizational support by positively predicting employee work engagement and partial mediator for abilities (dimension of structural empowerment) and perceived coworker support by positively predicting employee work engagement. However, the psychological empowerment of employees and burnout at work were statistically significantly negatively correlated, does not predict it and neither does not play a role as a mediator in the relationship between structural empowerment (resource availability and formal powers) and support in the organization (perceived organization support) and employees burnout at work.
