Connection between management practice and employee creativity was analyzed quite widely in foreign academic literature. Nevertheless this connection is not researched in the context of international organizations. Science lacks academic works that profoundly explains the specificity of the influence that international organization leader has on employees’ creativity. Therefore with this Master thesis it is important to deliver guidelines that present the aspects of leader practices that could be seen as the most significant in the organizational creativity stimulation process. The object of this Master thesis is leader’s influence on employee creativity in international organizations. The target of this research is to analyze and investigate the specifics of the leader’s influence on employee creativity in international organizations. In order to achieve main target four tasks were set. Firstly, analyze the concept of creativity and identify essential characteristics of the construct of creativity. Secondly, analyze the concept and content of management activity. Thirdly, identify ways how leader could manage and control employee creativity and present new empirical research model. Fourthly, empirically examine and identify which of the leader’s influence aspects have the most significant effect on embassies employee creativity using presented research model. Systematic analysis and wide range of research methods were implemented in order to reveal the leader’s influence on international organizations employee creativity. Firstly, academic literature analysis was fulfilled; methods of alternatives, analogies, induction, deduction, description, generalization and others were implemented. Qualitative analysis method was invoked in the empirical research: directed (topical) interview method was used. Also quantitative analysis method was implemented – questionnaires were used. Logical and graphical modeling was operated while analyzing the results of empirical research. Results of the research enable to state that international organization leader’s direct as well as indirect influence on employee creativity is quite evenly significant. Empirically collected data allows stating that direct motivation of the leader, adequate remuneration, enough freedom, favorable organization culture and sufficient resources most significantly influence employee creativity in international organizations. This Master thesis is beneficial, because it forms guidelines for further academic theme analysis, as well as directions for expedient management of organizational creativity in international organizations. |
