The name of the creative collection of the Master work is “Another Rosie the Riveter”. With reference to the 5th decade of the 20th century, war and postwar years, woman fashion and typical war accoutrements for the times peculiarities, as the closest analogue to express the uplifted idea an original functional elegant and state-of-the-art collection of leather accessories was created. The collection is composed of 6 different models with the general stylistics. Relation between modern thrusting woman and the sense of war spirit, synthesis of harmonious delicate inverse, i.e. strict forms and gentle openwork décor is the base of this creative work. The essential motif is the synthesis of 2 exclusive opposites, femininity and elements of war accoutrements, in one creative collection. The prototype of the woman the collection is designed to is Rosie the Riveter. It is an icon of the years of World War 2, it is a personage of many campaigning posters inviting women to help warring men. She is a woman who knows her abilities, value and inner strength. |
