Abstract [eng] Theoretical analysis of etiology, causes of prematurity as well as movement and position disorders of premature children has been carried out at the Paper. A hypothesis that assistance provided by a physical therapist to premature children helps to reduce movement and position disorders has been set. By means of a questionnaire survey and document analysis methods a research has been carried, the aim of which is to determine which movement and position disorders are typical among premature children from birth to the age of two. A statistical data analysis has been carried out. 39 parents raising children having movement and position disorders and 56 premature children have participated in the research. The empirical part deals with development peculiarities of premature children from birth to the age of 2 having movement and position disorders, occurrence of movement and position disorders among premature children, efficiency of assistance provided by a physical therapist to premature children.
