The aim of the master’s degree work was to analyze the aspects of organizational culture formation and improvement thereof in Siauliai city hotels by means of scientific foreign and Lithuanian literature. For the achievement of the above aim K.S. Cameron and R.E. Quinn competing values framework (Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument) was used. The theoretical part and the practical one constitute the present work. In the theoretical part via analysis of the concepts, essence, climate, functions, stages of organizational culture, it has been observed that the latter has a particular significance for organization, efficiency of activities thereof, strategy, imagine making; the role of the head in improving and changing organizational culture was emphasized as well. In the practical part the results obtained from the survey investigation of the heads of Siauliai city hotels in twelve organizations are generalized. Conclusions and recommendations on improvement of organizational culture are presented. |
