Modern news of physiology and biochemistry’s processes about adaptation to nutrition tone and to physical load’s mode allows fixing adequate nutrition schemes. It is especially important in making menu’s for athletes in sportsmen’s canteens. The objective of this study was to investigate the nutrition planning of young athletes taking into consideration athletes’ canteen menus and their variations and to evaluate influence of athletes’ socio-demographic characteristics and other attributes of athletes’ positions of nutrition and nutrition regime. Material and methods. For the first investigation athletes’ canteen menus of the years 2005-2006 different seasons were selected. From each season’s every month there were chosen 6 day menus with 4 day intervals (72 menus in total). The second study was done of the years 2006 by using the athletes view’s questionnaire. During the study were surveyed 79 athletes. Statistic data analysis made using SPSS v.13 (Statistical Package for Social Science). The difference between respective index were assumed as statistically significant, than the mistake probably was p<0,05. Results. The study showed that the total energy quantity of athletes’ canteen menu rations of the years 2005-2006 cover athletes’ energy input. The mean energy value of rations equals 4882,63  57,90 kcal (S=127,34). Athletes, who their nutrition rated contently (54,5%), their health rated badly, 62,5% of respondents, who rated their nutrition well, their health rated well too. 35,7% and 33,3% of respondents, who rated their nutrition very well, their health rated respectively contently and well. 52% of athletes have been eating as many times per day as recommended, 48% of respondent’s eating times just contently matched with recommended. Conclusions. The apparent unbalance of nutritional ingredients was detected in the menu rations of the years 1989 and 2005-2006 resulting in sufficient quantity of proteins, high fat and too low carbohydrate quantities. The better athletes rated their nutrition, the better they rated their health and achievements. The mode of athletes nutrition just partly fitted recommended.
