Abstract [eng] According to a recent acknowledgement, the culture in organization has a great importance. Organizational culture distinguishes one organization from others, shapes an identity sense of employees and providing organization unique; it relates the organization members in values and activities, creates an atmosphere of community, which protects members of alienation. Object of study – factors, forming organizational culture in professional school. Aim of the study – to investigate and define factors, which affects organizational culture in professional school. Objectives: 1. To discuss the concept of organizational culture and organizational culture forming factors in theoretical aspects; 2. Identify the factors, that positively and negatively affect the organizational culture of professional school; 3. To develop recommendations, to improve the organizational culture of professional school; The research was conducted in November – December of 2009. There were surveyed 106 employees of Lietuvos reabilitacinis profesinio rengimo centras. Methods. Theoretical (scientific literature and document analysis); empirical (written questionnaire); statistical (analysis of research was performed using Microsoft Excel program and SPSS 17.0 for WINDOWS). Results. The research established that professional school culture positively influences these factors: staff is proud of the work, their work is interesting and important for them; personnel are loyal to the organization; employees mistakes are tolerated; conflicts between workers are solved in the negotiations; The environment of organization is evaluated as comfortable, simple, neat and modern. The moral-psychological climate in school is considered to be as good and normal; workers are described as sympathetic attitude; indistinctive criticism of other workers. Professional school culture negatively influences these factors: employees are not proud of working at this school, they don’t know the career prospects; low stimulation system of the job; staff is rather passive; poor opportunities to express themselves at work; low payment; employees are not always free to express their thoughts and they don’t maintain friendly relations.
