Abstract [eng] Prediction of recidivism of criminal behaviour is a complicated task of practical value and importance. Therefore, in order to increase the accuracy of prediction at maximum, a model, based on theoretical knowledge and empirical data is necessary. This study is based on the social - cognitive theory of A. Bandura, thus, the risk factors of reoffending are divided into three categories: internal, external and past behaviour. The aim of this study is to determine internal, external and past behaviour risk factors of reoffending which help to predict recidivism of criminal behaviour. 103 conditionally discharged persons participated in the research. Due to unclear marking, false information provided or similar problems, data collected from 20 subjects were excluded from the further analysis. The data was gathered using specially comprised questionnaires of self efficacy in criminal behaviour control and outcome expectancy; risk factors of reoffending; Michigan alcoholism screening test and analysis of personal criminal records. It was indicated that age factor during the first criminal offence, marriage number, nationality, diagnosis of mental disease and self-control efficacy beliefs help to predict the number of criminal offences. These risk factors clarify the variety of 43.1 percent of criminal offences. It was also detected that while predicting the violation of conditional discharge, it is important to consider such factors as marriage number, satisfaction with salary, offence type, and period from a conditional discharge. The role of self efficacy in criminal behaviour control should be tested in further studies. Therefore, the hypothesis on possibilities of self efficacy in criminal behaviour beliefs has been partly proved. At the end of this study, problems, which appeared during the research are analysed, recommendations of possible solutions are provided.
