Abstract [eng] |
The article introduce archaeological research of the Kašučiai fossil fields and it’s results. In addition, pollen analyses and geochemical examinations of the site are briefly described as well as cup marked stones discovered in the territory of the fossil field. Kašučiai fossil fields were discovered and investigate for the first time by amateur archaeologist Ignas Jablonskis at 1980–1981. The second stage of the research was initiated by the Department of Archaeology, Vilnius University and started at the very beginning of 21st century. Archaeologists from Tartu University, headed by Valter Lang, and Kretinga Museum, Julius Kanarskas and some other researchers took part in these international and multidisciplinary investigations. |
