Refering to scientific literature the essence of the conception of sustainable development and debatable questions are overviewed, the dimensions of sustainable development and their interconnections are diskussed, the systems of sustainable development‘s evalution and their advanrages and disadvantagges are analysed, the principles of the government of sustainable development of the district are revealed. The condition of Ukmergė distrikct in the context of sustainable development is estimated in the empirical part coforming to the method of counting the Life guality index. The set of the indikators delivered in the guestionnaire and chosen by the experts is discussed, paying attention to their relevance to the sustainable development and the tendencies of the chage of their signaticance in Ukmergė distrikct in comparison with the condition of sustainable development of the country. The prognosis of sustainable development‘s evalution for 2011, 2013, 2015 was carried out and the cohesion between the economical, social and environmental dimensions was determined. The conclusions and the suggestions aregiven at the end of the work. |
