Abstract [eng] Research objective: The aim of the master thesis work was to evaluate the quality of psychosocial rehabilitation services (PRS) provided to people with mental disorders in Vilnius city. Methods: 38 people with mental disorders who were provided with PRS and who agreed to take part in the investigation, were questioned in seven mental care centers in Vilnius city. They were surveyed just one time. In Vilnius psychosocial rehabilitation centre the same people with mental disorders who were provided with PRS and who agreed to take part in the investigation were inquired three times (in the year 2007, 2008, 2009). First time were inquired 44 people with mental disorders, second time 37 and the third time 27. The research was performed using International Association of Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services anonymous Member Consumer Survey. The database was composed and data analyzed using statistical package SPSS 15.0 (applying one-way ANOVA and descriptive statistical methods). The calculations of the average (M) of quality of life, empowerment, mastery and patient’s satisfaction were made. In order to determine how accurate the mediums are, the values of confidence interval (CI) 95%, standard deviation (SD) and standard error were calculated (SE). Statistical significance level α=0,05 was used, p<0,05 – the difference is statistically significant. Results: The average of quality of life, empowerment, mastery and patient’s satisfaction (M) are very similar comparing to the groups of patients from mental care centers and Vilnius psychosocial rehabilitation centre. The satisfaction in services is mostly appreciated by both groups (good), as the quality of life is evaluated the worst (average). The average of quality of life (M=2,59), empowerment (M=2,80), mastery (M=2,71) and patient’s satisfaction (M=3,12) were similar between males and females independently from age in both groups of respondents. Comparing the results of three inquiries, the satisfaction in services is evaluated as the best in Vilniaus Psychosocial rehabilitation centre. The worst was evaluated the subjective quality of life. The mastery alone is evaluated better in each survey (M=2,66; M=2,70; M=2,80). The satisfaction in services remains very similar during the first two surveys (M=3,18; M=3,16) and significantly increases during the third survey (M=3,36). The satisfaction in services (M=3,36), empowerment (M=2,97), and mastery (M=2,71), is best valued during the third survey, however the subjective quality of life is best evaluated during the second survey (M=2,56), but is worse evaluated during the third one (M=2,50), nevertheless not better that during the first survey (M=2,45),. The subjective quality of life, empowerment, mastery and satisfaction in services of the respondents, is evaluated good. The average (M) of quality of life, empowerment, mastery and satisfaction in services were similar between males and females and between different age groups of the respondents. Conclusions: Quality of life, empowerment, mastery and patient’s satisfaction are used in evaluation the quality of PRS provided to people with mental disorders.
