Master’s theses deal with information services, as main peculiarity of information activity object. Theses analyse information services in their broad sense. They submit a study of information services concept, their peculiarities, users and documents, determine place of organisation in information activity. Objective of the master’s theses is to investigate information services provided by UAB “Penki kontinentai” which are of great importance both to the company’s employees and its users. In order to achieve objectives of the master’s theses the following tasks were set: to define the concept of information services; to analyse information activity of UAB “Penki kontinentai” by study of a single case; to investigate information services provided by UAB “Penki kontinentai” and to analyse them. Master’s theses present information activity in the organisational company, its concept, main object of information activity – information services, their processes and problems. They also submit other objects of information activity, i.e. users and documents. They analyse activity and organisational structure of UAB “Penki kontinentai” as well as study in detail objects of its information activity, i.e. information services, users and documents. Theses submit in detail and analyse information services, their variety and abundance, they are one of the main spheres of company’s activity and main object of information activity. Theses also analyse company’s users according to data submitted by managers of departments of UAB “Penki kontinentai”. The paper also presents the study of company documents, which do not make a lot, however, total their volume is difficult to assess now. Study of information services of UAB “Penki kontinentai” is analysed in the thesis. A sample of questionnaires used for the research is given in the annex. Results of the master’s theses were positive and presumptive. Theses analyse information services of UAB “Penki kontinnentai”, their variety and abundance prove the objective of the company to render complex, user-oriented solutions and high quality services to the users. |
