Abstract [eng] Collection of five paintings Transit places which change into war zones is based on two parts of art research. The first part is analysis of Siauliai city transit space. The second part is analysis of the terrorist attacks reportage material which took place in Brussel and Istanbul. Goal of artistic research is to understand how daily transit place changes after terrorist attack explosions. Master‘s thesis also examines what is a transit place and why it becomes targets of terrorist groups. The Master's thesis is based on these authors and their works as Sally Engle Merry Urban Anthropology, Marc Augé Non-Places: Introduction to an Anthropology of Super modernity, Z. Müge Akkar Ercan Public spaces of post-industrial cities and Their Changing roles, Jakaterina Lavrinec Transit local area as anxiety and playground, Slavoj Žižek Welcome to the desert of reality. Analysis of Douglas Farthing, Brett Amory, Justin Mortimer, Yan Pei Ming painting analogues, which brings together social and political themes. In conclusion you can find response to above mentioned hypothesis whether people are afraid to travel in transit places after terrorist attacks.
