Abstract [eng] |
The MA thesis deals with civil servants’ training and professional development system and peculiarities of its development in both theoretical and practical levels. The paper provides views of various Lithuanian and foreign scientists on training and professional development. Additionally, the thesis analyzes the importance of training, motives of training and professional development, frequency of training in organizations. Weaknesses of training are distinguished, main training forms and methods are named. A quantitative research was conducted to examine the aspects of civil servants’ motivation to constantly learn and pursue professional development opportunities. In order to explore the development of civil servants’ training and professional development system a qualitative research was conducted – a survey of experts. Results of quantitative and qualitative researches revealed the existing problems in civil servants’ training and professional development system as well as allowed to predict the directions for further development of the system. |
