Summary In this work ecogeological and engineering geological investigations of Fabijoniškės Landfill in Vilnius are summarized. The situation for protective cover layer in landfill and slope stability is evaluated. The investigation of existing slopes and slopes basement conditions is performed. It is necessary to forecast the possibility of slope erosion during rehabilitation of Fabijoniškes Landfill. During rehabilitation earthworks the hydrogeodynamic situation will change and the suffosion processes might renew. Parameters of suffosion characteristics are found during analytical and experiment methods. These parameters are necessary to evaluate slope stability during Landfill rehabilitation earthworks. |
