Abstract [eng] This Master‘s paper analyzes theoretical aspects of electronic retail development: the features for operating business and buyer, influence for the country. The environment of electronic retail is explored: political, economic, social and technological factors are described. This study shows that previously existed technical barriers, limited electronic retail development, were removed, but occurred new higher level barriers at the societal level. The research about electronic retail development issues and trends shows, that consumers, who never tried e-shopping doubts about safety, but more experienced e-shopping customers rates e-stores security positively. The older generation does not use e-shopping cause of persistent habits. However, the financial crisis has inspired a new life for e-retail, giving consumers an alternative to buy cheaper: the research shows that the lower price is a key factor considering buying online. High concentration of e-stores and competitive prices determines trend to gain popularity of e-retail: almost 50% of internet users are going to buy online more in the future. Finally, the paper represents findings and recommendations to solve electronic retail problems to encourage consumer interest in electronic commerce.
